Organized by the First and Emergency Aid Program, the First and Emergency Aid Student Community, and the Addiction Prevention Commission under the coordination of Lecturer Pelin Zıvdır Yeşilyurt within the scope of the Emergency Patient Care II course, a visit was conducted to Tarsus Youth Camp as part of the “Clean Mind, Clean Future” event.
During the awareness program held at the camp, students were informed about substance addiction in an environment surrounded by fresh air and nature. Throughout the activities, participants were educated on the negative effects of addiction on both individuals and society, while comprehensive information was provided on prevention strategies and healthy lifestyle habits.
In the program carried out under the guidance of Lecturer Pelin Zıvdır Yeşilyurt, students were informed about the physical, psychological, and social harms of substance addiction. In addition, the importance of awareness in combating addiction was emphasized, and various activities were organized to encourage young people to develop healthy and conscious lifestyle choices.
Thanks to the educational and social activities conducted in a natural setting, students both enjoyed their time and gained significant awareness regarding the fight against addiction. At the end of the program, it was stated that the participants’ awareness levels concerning substance addiction had significantly increased.
